The Osaka sofa chair was designed by Emiel Veranneman for the Belgian pavilion at the 1970 Wold Exhibition in Osaka, Japan. These sofa is a combination of traditional Flemish woodwork with Asian influences. By their wide appearance and round back this sofa gets a very strong character and expression. The wooden frame emphasizes this sturdy expression. The dark stained wood makes a wonderful combination with the dark brown leatherette upholstery.
